Welcome to the April edition of SuperNews!

Probably the biggest changes last month were to the Warden job, which saw changes rolled out in several waves. The first change was a slight increase in the reward radius when capturing prisoners. The next update wasn’t long in coming; immediately after the next server restart, a message appeared for this job regarding prisoner fights in the gym, along with the associated ban on prisoners using /hide. The latest update to this job is the modification of all buildings in A51; now, only Wardens and Prisoners are permitted to enter them.

Mechanics have certainly noticed a change in their role too. They now receive a reward for refuelling a vehicle with an empty tank using /Canister, but only on motorbikes. They also receive points for repairing someone else’s vehicle.

One new feature that you may find unnecessary and perhaps even annoying is the ban on bidding on vehicles from the Warp. There’s a simple reason for this: if a player ends a vehicle auction whilst you’re on the Warp, you won’t be able to park the vehicle. You’ll have to drive out of the warp and park it outside. Whilst this won’t prevent the issue entirely, it will at least help to some extent.

Another new feature will be particularly beneficial to stadium owners: the creation of Golf and Hockey events has been moved to the stadium. The Golf system has also undergone changes. The direction and power of your shot will be displayed, and you can adjust them only after the indicator has disappeared. In the Events section, specifically in Derby, a new map has been added: the Los Santos Moto Derby.

A few new bonus perks have been added to the /shop. One, which is more of an aesthetic feature, is the Indestructible Body. Along with this, the option to purchase Indestructible Tyres has also been added.

Some levels have been changed. The 900- and 1100-point levels for jobs and casinos have been altered. Initially, the update was accompanied by some issues, including a necessary rollback, for which we apologise profusely. This bug affected the level involving money in the bank. This level has now been removed.

This update will certainly have pleased all homeowners. It involves a slight reduction in collection fees, which will help, in particular, with the sale of more expensive properties. The practice of returning money to owners for abandoned properties has also been reinstated.

There’s also been a new addition – or rather, a revival – of the Articles section on the website. Now let’s move on to Announcements, or Recruitment. This is a post for a ‘Waste Sorter’, who is responsible for deleting adverts in the ‘Offering’ and ‘Wanted’ sections and, newly, also looks after Crew profiles. I’m looking for two new players for this role! Please send me a Private Message [Click] with some basic information about yourself (how long you’ve been playing on SP, why I should give you this role) and a suggestion for improving the website (to make it more appealing to players). You have exactly 7 days to send your message – that is, by next Monday, 8 May 2017 – and I’ll let all applicants for this role know the outcome.

[W]arning has been promoted from the role of helper and is now an Administrator – Moderator. [L]adik_ has also returned to the AT as an Administrator – Moderator; he had only temporarily left our ranks and was subsequently promoted straight away to Junior Administrator.

Everyone who was accepted into the AT last month – by which I mean Wery, DajaS, GaUneR and BMBN – has now been promoted to the position of Regular Administrator.

The “Helper” role has been abolished; everyone, except for [W]arning, has been moved to the Event Organiser role. The reason given by the chief administrators for the abolition is that the Event Organiser role will be reinstated, as it is more beneficial to the server than the Helper role. The Helper role is hereby discontinued. At the same time, Primer, Panther and [F]atal[Q]o have been appointed to this role.

Baseball has become the new chief administrator of the website.
