• A much-requested feature has been added. When playing at the casino, the amount that the casino can pay out will be displayed.
• Changes have also been made to the security service. The command “/protect ID” can only be used on one person. However, a single player can now be protected by multiple SBS agents.

• Items from /shop cannot be purchased for military vehicles.
• When a player is stopped by a police officer using the /stop command, the check takes place immediately after the vehicle being stopped has come to a halt. It is no longer necessary to wait.

• A player who is on a mission or in an admin race can be ejected from a vehicle.
• To avoid misunderstandings, a dialogue box now ‘pops up’ for new players (those with up to 10 hours of playtime) when boxing in the prison compound, explaining how the prison works.

• A group of players has been set up to work on improving the gang system. If you’re interested in joining this group, please contact Fifa (click).
• When setting up a game of golf, you can specify how many balls will be used.

Here is an interview with Panther, the main organiser of the 2018 Dakar Rally event. You can find all the information about the Dakar Rally HERE (click).
SN: Hi Panther, thank you for taking the time for a short interview. I’ll jump straight to the first question. How did the idea for the Dakar event come about?
Panther: Hi Warning. Pretty much everyone knows the classic Dakar Rally from TV, but it was Ove8 who came up with the idea of organising it as a long-term event for players. We put our heads together and at the moment it’s shaping up to be a pretty promising event.
SN: Of course, who wouldn’t know the Dakar? Who designed the stages themselves?
Panther: I’m in charge of the organisational side of things, regarding the website and information for players. Ove organises the stages themselves on the server. So all the stages that players will see are entirely his work.
SN: Do you have any idea how much time needs to be put into such a big project?
Panther: He created the first two stages back when he won first place in the ‘Weekend of Events’, where the prize was the rights to organise events for the weekend. As soon as he was officially appointed Organiser, we began to fully realise this idea. He gradually built more and more stages, and I won’t lie when I say that not all of them are finished yet :) So we won’t know the total time spent on building this event until it’s all done.
SN: He’s certainly put a lot of effort into it, just as you have. As for the Dakar itself, I’m full of anticipation about how the event will unfold and how it will turn out. I’ll be taking part in the Dakar myself, even though I can’t be in the running for a place. I hope the readers will too. Do you expect this event to be as successful as RaceLiga was?
Panther: I don’t really know what to expect myself. I’m looking forward to the event even though I know exactly what each stage will involve, but at the same time I’m worried about how it will all pan out. It seems to me that the moment the whole thing was announced, there’s been far too much excitement and excessively high expectations surrounding it.
There are two possibilities. Either it’ll be a complete flop, or one of the best events of the year.
However, it’s a bit early to compare it with RaceLiga, which already has a long-standing tradition. We can have a chat about that once the Dakar is over and we’ve heard the players’ feedback.
SN: I’m just as curious, but I’m taking a more positive view. From my point of view, it’ll be a huge success – finally, a new event that hasn’t been here before. I’ve heard that RaceLiga has been cancelled for next month – February – to make way for the Dakar.
Is there any truth in that? Are there other reasons behind the cancellation or postponement of RaceLiga?
Panther: No, no, that’s not true at all. The RaceLiga was due to take a break this month anyway. The thing is, after every fourth RaceLiga series, there’s a climax in the form of the Champions League, which is organised by my colleague Szelby.
However, it remains to be seen how things will pan out this month, as Szelby is on extended leave due to work commitments and is due to comment on the situation by 10 February. RaceLiga will certainly continue, though it remains to be seen how and when.
SN: As I can see, these SNs will be full of surprises. While I’ve got you here, I’ll also ask about your plans. Are you and your colleague in the SA role planning any more ‘MEGA’ events? Whether they’re completely new, like the Dakar, or traditional ones that can’t be missed any year.
Panther: We definitely have plans, and there are plenty of them, but we’re certainly not going to give everything away just yet. As far as I can say at the moment, we’re currently preparing an extended ‘Weekend of Events’ as a surprise,
so players won’t know the exact schedule, and we’re also planning a bigger event to mark the upcoming Winter Olympics, so hopefully our plans will come to fruition.
SN: Well, another surprise then :D I’m keeping my fingers crossed – hopefully it’ll work out. Thanks again for your time. Is there anything else on your mind that you’d like to share with our readers?
Panther: Everything’s still in the planning stages at the moment, so I don’t want to get ahead of myself with this event, but since you asked :) I think I’ve probably covered everything. Finally, I’d especially like to thank the players for their support and, of course, the members of AT and OA – it wouldn’t be possible without my colleagues, nor without the players. Thank you too for inviting me to this interview. :)
And that brings us to the end of the first SuperNews of 2018. Thank you for reading, and I sincerely hope you didn’t find the Slovak too difficult :D
